Realtor and Friend for Life

I've always enjoyed making new friends anywhere, anytime. Whether it was through my musical endeavors, school, or in random places, I've always liked meeting new people and learning about them. Being in the Real Estate business has given me the unique opportunity of meeting new people all the time as well as helping them with one of the most important decisions of their lives. Throughout the process you get to know your clients and learn all about them and they get to learn about you. No client I work with is just another "deal." The look they have when they get the keys to their home is a great reward. Through staying in touch, I've hung out with, attended events, played on sports teams and even been invited to weddings of my past clients. Not only do I strive to be their Realtor for life, but also their friend.

New Restaurant in Baton Rouge

A New Orleans based restaurant, The Velvet Cactus, has opened in Baton Rouge.  The restaurant opened Monday and is located at 7655 Old Hammond Highway in the former location of Another Broken Egg.  Initial  hours will be Monday-Sunday from 4:30 p.m. to 10:30 p.m.

Mississippi Restaurant Coming to Baton Rouge

Looking for some place new to try?  A Natchez, Mississippi casual dining restaurant, Roux 61 Seafood & Grill,  will be opening in the building currently occupied by Boutin’s and plans to open a location by May 1.

Officials with Roux 61 said they plan to bring the same menu from Natchez to Baton Rouge. The menu features dishes such as steaks seared on an 1,800-degree broiler, chargrilled oysters, fried catfish, seafood po-boys, boiled shrimp and hamburgers. Roux 61 has been open in Natchez for about four years.

Galitoires Bistro in Baton Rouge

The one place we have had a hard time getting a reservation since it moved to it's new location on Perkins Road is Galatoires Bistro.  Finally had a chance to eat lunch there today.  They have a great lunch special - a 3 course meal for $19!!!!!  it was great.  From their web site, here is some history of the eatery:

We are all so excited to have Galatoire's Bistro open again in Baton Rouge at it's new location at 3535 Perkins Road!  I remember when we first moved to Baton Rouge, eating at Galatoire's in New Orleans - standing in line - no reservations - what such an exciting thing!  The food was always amazing.   If you are looking for something to do today in Baton Rouge, check it out!  You will be happy you did!!
